Second Mate Pipeline Dredge Class I

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: As a Watch Mate, stands regular watch on self propelled hydraulic, diesel-electric dustpan type dredge with 32 inch discharge pipeline. Major Duties: - Supervises and works with shift crew including but not limited to: a 3RD Mate, a Master Tender, a Deck Equipment Operator, a Deckhand Leader, and Deckhands in various operational tasks. - Operates a derrick, Class I crane or overhead crane. - Supervises and performs general maintenance and repairs to the pipeline and other deck equipment - Supervises and performs cleaning, chipping, painting, etc. in support operations and assignments.
