Security Guard

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for DIB and MRTFB to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position is with the Directorate of Emergency Services located at Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. Major Duties: - Prepare and maintain daily journals, radio logs and records. - Maintain radio communications with mobile patrol units and posts. - Patrol perimeter and interior on foot or vehicle. - Perform traffic control to enforce speed limits and assist at accident scenes. - Establish identity of all persons seeking access by closely reviewing credentials. - Control personnel access to highly restrictive areas. - Serve as a guard on rotating patrols and posts at an installation enforcing security measures to protect personnel, materials or property.
