This high-profile site plays a pivotal role in the justice system. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of court staff, visitors, and the public. **Duties include but are not limited to:** * Maintain a secure environment within the Magistrates Court. * Screen individuals entering the court building and ensure all security protocols are followed. * Monitor and manage courtroom security during hearings. * Respond promptly and appropriately to incidents involving disruptive or aggressive behaviour. * Work collaboratively with court staff and law enforcement to manage high-risk situations. **About You:** We are looking for individuals who possess strong interpersonal skills, the ability to remain calm under pressure, and a commitment to maintaining the safety and security of the court environment. **Ideal candidates will have:** * Previous experience in security or a related field. * Excellent communication skills, with the ability to deescalate tense situations. * A professional attitude and a high standard of personal presentation. * A readiness, confidence and assertiveness to manage challenging situations. **Requirements:** * Certificate II (or higher) in Security Operations * Valid Tasmanian Security licence * Valid First Aid and CPR certificates (or willing to obtain) * Full Australian working rights * Working With Vulnerable People (or willing to obtain) **How to apply** ---------------- MSS Security is an Equal Opportunity Employer, valuing the unique backgrounds, experiences, and contributions of each person We encourage and celebrate diversity.
