This high-profile site plays a pivotal role in the justice system. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of court staff, visitors, and the public. **Duties include but are not limited to:** * Maintain a secure environment within the Magistrates Court. * Screen individuals entering the court building and ensure all security protocols are followed. * Monitor and manage courtroom security during hearings. * Respond promptly and appropriately to incidents involving disruptive or aggressive behaviour. * Work collaboratively with court staff and law enforcement to manage high-risk situations. **Ideal candidates will have:** * Previous experience in security or a related field (highly desirable). * Excellent communication skills, with the ability to de-escalate tense situations. * Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with the public and clients. * A readiness, confidence and assertiveness to manage challenging situations. * A strong work ethic and commitment to high-quality service. ​ **Requirements:** * Full Australian working rights. * Valid Tasmanian Security licence. * Certificate II (or higher) in Security Operations. * Valid First Aid and CPR certificates (or willing to obtain). * Working With Vulnerable People (or willing to obtain). * Willing to undergo and pass a National Criminal History check.   **Master Licence Number:** 5784 **How to apply** ---------------- MSS Security is an Equal Opportunity Employer, valuing the unique backgrounds, experiences, and contributions of each person We encourage and celebrate diversity.
