Senior Accountant - Financial Reporting

**Role Specific Information** **Job Description** This role is based at our Corporate Office in Menomonee Falls, WI. You'll work onsite from Monday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Fridays. **About the Role** As an Accountant, you will support the company’s financial reporting and accounting processes by ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions and compliance with accounting standards. You will contribute to the month-end close process, perform account analysis, and partner with cross-functional teams to support business operations and financial integrity.   **What You’ll Do**   * Prepare SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K, Proxy, etc.), ensuring accurate and timely reporting and offering best practice suggestions * Record journal entries and support the month-end close process to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting * Prepare and maintain account reconciliations, investigating and resolving variances * Review transactions and contracts to determine appropriate accounting treatment in accordance with U.S. GAAP * Assist in the preparation of financial reports, schedules, and supporting documentation * Support internal and external reporting requirements, including audit requests and compliance activities * Perform data analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvement * Collaborate with business partners to ensure accurate financial data and understanding of accounting impacts * Support SOX compliance efforts, including documentation and validation of key controls * Assist with continuous improvement of accounting processes, systems, and reporting * Additional tasks may be assigned   **What Skills You Have** Required * Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or other relevant field * Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and experience with technical accounting * Advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and other Financial Software programs * Excellent accounting skills * Strong critical thinking, attention to detail, time management and communication skills * Adept multitasker   Preferred * Prior accounting or finance experience * CPA or MBA * Retail industry experience
