Senior Accountant Lead

**At Pluxee, we shape the world of employee benefits and engagement by bringing to life a personalized and sustainable employee experience, at work and beyond.** Permanent Regular **Job Description:** The **Senior Accountant Lead** is responsible for leading and executing the day-to-day accounting activities of the Spanish entity, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with IFRS and local GAAP, and a robust control environment. The role acts as the accounting subject matter expert, supporting month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes, statutory reporting, audits, and accounting-related projects. The Senior Accountant Lead partners closely with local and Group Finance teams to ensure high-quality financial reporting and compliance with corporate policies. **Financial Accounting & Reporting** * Coordinate and execute the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Group reporting timelines. * Ensure the preparation of statutory and management financial statements in accordance with IFRS and local GAAP. * Act as the subject matter expert on IFRS, providing guidance on complex accounting matters and new business initiatives. * Prepare and document technical accounting assessments and accounting position papers. * Ensure completeness and accuracy of balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls. * Collaborate closely with Controlling, Consolidation, Treasury, and Business teams to ensure high-quality financial reporting. **Audit, Governance & Risk** * Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely delivery of supporting documentation. * Maintain strong internal controls across accounting processes. * Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies and regulatory requirements. * Identify accounting risks and support remediation actions when required Leadership & Stakeholder Management * Lead, mentor, and develop accounting and finance team members where applicable. * Collaborate with Group Finance and Group Tax teams to ensure alignment with corporate policies and strategic objectives. * Support finance transformation initiatives and system enhancements **Coordination & Collaboration** * Act as the accounting subject matter expert for the Spanish entity. * Coordinate and oversee the day-to-day activities of the accounting team, ensuring accurate, timely, and high-quality execution of accounting processes and reporting deliverables. * Provide guidance and support to junior accounting team members when applicable. * Collaborate with Group Finance teams to ensure alignment with reporting requirements and accounting policies. * Contribute to finance transformation initiatives, process optimization, and system enhancements.  **REQUIREMENTS**  **Education**  * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance.  **Work Experience**  * 10–12 years of progressive experience in Accounting and Financial Reporting. * Previous experience within a Big 4 Audit practice is highly preferred. * Experience within a multinational environment. * Strong knowledge of IFRS reporting and statutory accounting requirements. * Experience managing internal and external audits. * Experience in regulated industries is considered an asset. **Other Skills**  * Solid knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP.  * ERP experience (Navision).  * Strong Excel and Microsoft 365 skills.  **Languages**  * Spanish & English fluent   **COMPETENCIES**  * Technical Competencies  * Accounting Expertise * IFRS & Local GAAP Knowledge * Financial Reporting * Internal Controls & Compliance * Audit Management * Stakeholder Collaboration * Process Improvement * Analytical Problem Solving * Attention to Detail **Why join Pluxee?** **Join an inclusive team** Work at the heart of the community alongside 5,000 experts across 29 countries - we embrace diversity and value uniqueness, fostering a workplace where everyone can thrive. **Turn inspiration into possibility** Get space to try new ideas, experiment and move the world of work forward as you bring new digital experiences - and moments of connection - to millions of people. **Make a positive impact** Touch millions of lives and create meaningful change for people and the world we share, supporting our commitments to diversity, sustainability, and local economies. **Grow with us** Get support you need to take meaningful steps in your career, whether you're performing your work/life balance or learning new skills.
