Senior Accountant

Work Flexibility: Hybrid Join a global finance organization supporting the Finance One optimization program within a shared services environment. In this role, you will perform advanced accounting activities, support month-end close processes, review key financial transactions, and collaborate with local and regional finance teams to ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting across countries in scope. **What You Will Do** * Perform complex accounting activities, including month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. * Review and approve journal entries and account reconciliations to support timely and accurate financial records. * Serve as a subject matter expert for intercompany accounting processes and related transactions. * Analyze financial statements and investigate variances, discrepancies, and reporting issues. * Coordinate close activities and support delivery of critical accounting deadlines and reporting requirements. * Execute assigned internal control activities, including compliance with audit and financial reporting requirements. * Partner with local accounting teams to resolve accounting inquiries and reconciliation issues within established timelines. * Develop and maintain process documentation, deliver training to team members, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and standardization. **What You Will Need** **Required Qualifications** * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. * Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and financial analysis. * Fluent English (written and spoken). * Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel. **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience working in a shared services center or multinational organization. * Knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems such as SAP, Oracle, or QAD. * Knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance requirements. * Portuguese language proficiency.
