Senior Cloud Platform Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Platform Engineer to join our global cloud team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining cloud-based platforms and solutions for our clients primarily focusing on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and AI Initiatives.  At KION, you will be operating in a cloud-first multi-cloud environment. You can expect exciting tasks with a strong focus on automation to unlock  the full potential of the cloud! **Tasks and Qualifications:** ============================= **Responsibilities** * Develop, operate, and continuously improve KION Azure Cloud Environment to guarantee availability of systems & keep services running * Implement and transport services into the KION Group's digital platforms in close cooperation with the development teams * Monitor and analyze occurring failures (IT services, server, container etc.) in depth and solve them * Support product teams with a knowledge of cloud services * Act proactively by self-initiated projects and ensure efficiency * Administer and provide upgrades to systems (Windows and Linux server) * Develop technical skills in Google Cloud Platform to be the Subject Matter Expert in both Azure and Google Could Platform long term **Qualifications:** * Minimum 3 years of experience with infrastructure and services in public and private cloud environments (Azure is a must, GCP is beneficial) * Experience in administration of Windows or Linux operating systems. * Familiarity with CI/CD tools and deployment processes (e.g. Ansible, Azure DevOps Pipelines) * Practical experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and all cloud delivery models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) * Experience in shell scripting (PowerShell, CLI, Bash) and state-of-the-art Cloud technologies for automation. * Experience with monitoring or log aggregation tools (e.g. SolarWinds, Azure Monitor) is an advantage * Growth mindset, self-organization, and interest in taking over ownership and bringing the team to the best solution * English C1/C2 (German is a plus) * Experience working in global organizations
