Here, you’ll take full accountability for your path, upskilling through hands-on experience and mentorship, to turn your curiosity into a career built on your own terms.  Are you ready to redefine what’s next? ****About the Role**** The Canada Finance team is primarily responsible for the planning, forecasting and analysis of the financial performance of the Canada business at Capital One.  Of specific importance is the team’s ability to influence and guide management to make financially and strategically astute decisions.  The person in this role will work with finance FP&A team and business managers across Capital One to perform financial modeling and ongoing analysis of our existing portfolio and its performance, to inform and guide the business in their decision making. ****Your Responsibilities:**** **Forecasting and actuals management** * Lead P&L forecast regrounds and load all items into financial data system * Prepare month end accrual and reclass entries * Perform month end variance analysis, maintain department and account level alignment and prepare variance commentary * Manage relationships with Credit, Product, and any other relevant business contacts **Business Customer Reporting & Support** * Be the “Face of Finance” for portfolio specific P&L related questions from business customers * Prepare analysis and materials for senior executive presentations and reporting packages. * Build and maintain strong relationships with business leadership/teams * Provide inputs to line of business finance contacts * Provide support on portfolio specific ad hoc requests **Projection Models & Strategic Projects** * Partner with business contacts to develop portfolio specific forecast model(s) * Perform quarterly/semi-annually/annual monitoring as required * Participate in and manage automation projects. * Leverage financial reporting tools and applications, support the team in standing up new financial views, leading process improvements, and deliver more insightful analysis to business partners ****Basic Qualifications**** * At least 3 year of relevant finance experience ****Preferred Qualifications**** * MBA, CPA or CFA * Bachelor's Degree * Strong sense of teamwork and commitment to deliver high quality, timely results * Able to work independently via strong analytical and problem solving skills while also having the ability to build solid relationships with business partners * Ability to manage multiple tasks within tight deadlines on an ongoing basis * High degree of flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and demands of business partners * Create an environment that fosters innovation and automation * Expert proficiency in Excel, Essbase and PowerPoint * Knowledge of Python would be an advantage ****Working At Capital** **One**** Here you’ll uncover personal strengths, explore new interests and make an impact that matters. This posting is for an existing vacancy. **The expected annual salary range for this position is $94,800 - $108,200.** This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
