About the SiteGRU9 is Brazil's largest Fulfillment Center and the highest-volume site in Latin America and operates with more then 3k associates.The site's senior leadership is structured around three Senior Operations Managers, each owning a major operational pillar and reporting directly to the Site Leader:Inbound + Customer Returns: receiving, stow, customer returns processing, and reverse logistics.Outbound: pick, pack, ship dock, transfer out, and vendor returns.Quality, Learning & Planning: ICQA, inventory management, associate development, labor planning, change management, and process improvement.This role is one of these three senior leadership positions.Role OverviewAs a Senior Operations Manager at GRU9, you will lead a large-scale operation within one of the most complex fulfillment environments in Brazil. You will own end-to-end performance for your area, managing a team of Operations Managers and Area Managers, driving operational excellence across safety, quality, productivity, and cost.You will report directly to the Site Leader and partner closely with the other Ops Managers and support functions to ensure cohesive site performance at scale.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related quantitative fieldSignificant experience in operational leadership within logistics, supply chain, manufacturing, or fulfillment environmentsProven track record managing and developing large high-performance teams Strong analytical abilities and data-driven decision makingFluent in Portuguese (spoken and written)Working proficiency in English (spoken and written)Preferred Qualifications:Master's degree in Engineering, MBA, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related fieldExperience with Lean/Six Sigma methodologies and continuous improvement frameworksDemonstrated ability to operate in ambiguous, fast-changing environments with multiple competing prioritiesKey job responsibilities- Safety Leadership: Maintain the highest standards of workplace health and safety across all areas under your scope, driving proactive risk identification and zero-incident culture- Operational Performance: Own and deliver key operational metrics (throughput, productivity, quality, DEA, cost) for your area, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions- People Leadership: Lead, develop, and coach a team of Operations Managers and Area Managers; drive talent development, succession planning, and a culture of ownership and accountability- Budget & Cost Management: Participate in budget planning covering labor, operational expenses, and capital needs; own variable cost per unit for your area- Strategic Planning: Drive short, medium, and long-term planning (3, 6, and 12 months) including peak readiness, capacity management, and process improvement roadmaps- Continuous Improvement: Identify and eliminate defects through structured problem-solving; implement standardized mechanisms to raise the performance bar- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate cross-functionally with PXT, Finance, Engineering, RME, and network teams to resolve constraints, align on priorities, and deliver business outcomes- Change Management: Lead the implementation of new processes, technology rollouts, and retrofit projects, ensuring operational continuity during transitions
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent- Experience building and managing large and high performance teams- Experience in analyzing data to drive decisions- Speak, write, and read fluently in Portuguese- Speak, write, and read fluently in English- Experience in warehouse operations and logistics or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
