Job Description
Amazon MGM Studios seeks a Senior Sales Manager, Theatrical Distribution for Italy to contribute to the development and execution of commercial and distribution strategies across all local theatrical releases.The role plays a key part in shaping commercial strategies, leading strategic negotiations with key exhibitors, coordinating external sales agencies, and providing market intelligence and commercial insights to support release planning and business decisions.Working closely with the Head of Italy Theatrical Distribution and internal teams, it contributes to maximizing the performance and profitability of the overall theatrical slate across the Italian market.This position reports to the Head of Italy Theatrical Distribution.The applicable collective agreement for this role is for employees of Telecommunication Sector. The position is classified at level Quadro or above, depending on the candidate’s skills, competences and experience.Key job responsibilities- Contribute to the development and execution of local sales strategies across theatrical releases that align with commercial objectives.- Support deal negotiations with key circuits, under the guidance of the Head of Theatrical Distribution- Lead strategic commercial negotiations with key exhibitors to maximize theatrical performance, profitability and long-term partnerships.- Build and maintain strong exhibitor relationships to support release performance in Italy.- Coordinate and provide guidance to external sales agencies, ensuring consistent execution of theatrical distribution strategies and commercial priorities across the Italian market.- Provide market insights and commercial recommendations to support theatrical release planning and decision-making.- Support local release date planning that balances local market conditions with studio objectives.- Review box office performance and market intelligence to identify commercial opportunities throughout the theatrical run.- Provide commercial analysis to support forecasting, release planning and business decisions.- Lead discussions with key exhibitors on release plans and commercial opportunities.
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience in analysing data and creating reports for leadership- Experience communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including peers and leadership- Extensive experience in theatrical distribution.- Demonstrated ability to maintain exhibitor relationships and negotiate effectively.- Strong analytical expertise and strategic thinking skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in complex problem solving, and working in a tight schedule environment- Knowledge of the Italian theatrical exhibition landscape.- Experience managing stakeholders across multiple business functions.- Understanding of theatrical windows and circuit development strategies.Amazon is an equal opportunities employer. The base salary listed corresponds to working on a full-time basis.
