Senior SWE - Java Microservices & Cloud

**Overview** * We are seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Cloud-Native Application Development. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and scaling high-performance backend services that power enterprise-grade applications. * This role requires a strong engineering mindset, hands-on backend development experience, and the ability to build resilient, secure, and scalable solutions. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Product, Architecture, DevOps, and Engineering teams to deliver high-quality software using modern development practices and cloud technologies. **What You'll Do** **Backend Application Development** * Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot. * Build high-performance RESTful APIs and reusable backend services. * Develop clean, maintainable, and efficient code following engineering best practices. * Contribute to system design, technical architecture, and solution implementation discussions. * Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and development guidelines. **Microservices & Distributed Systems** * Design and implement Microservices-based architecture for scalable and resilient applications. * Develop solutions leveraging event-driven architecture patterns and asynchronous processing models. * Optimize application performance, scalability, reliability, and fault tolerance. * Collaborate with architecture teams to evolve platform capabilities and engineering standards. **Cloud & Platform Engineering** * Develop and deploy cloud-native applications using Microsoft Azure. * Work with cloud services and platform capabilities to improve scalability and operational efficiency. * Support cloud migration, modernization, and infrastructure optimization initiatives. * Exposure to AWS or GCP environments is considered an advantage. **Data & Persistence** * Design and optimize solutions utilizing Relational Databases (RDBMS) and NoSQL databases. * Develop efficient data models, queries, and persistence layers for enterprise applications. * Ensure data integrity, performance, and scalability across distributed systems. **Engineering Excellence** * Follow Agile/Scrum methodologies throughout the software development lifecycle. * Contribute to Test-Driven Development (TDD) and quality engineering practices. * Collaborate with QA, Product, and Engineering teams to deliver high-quality releases. * Troubleshoot production issues and participate in root-cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives. **Collaboration & Support** * Partner closely with Product Managers, Architects, DevOps Engineers, and Engineering teams to deliver business-critical solutions. * Participate in sprint planning, design reviews, and technical discussions. * Contribute to documentation, knowledge sharing, and engineering best practices. * Collaborate effectively with globally distributed teams across EMEA and US regions when required. * Demonstrate flexibility to work with cross-functional stakeholders and support critical project deliverables across multiple time zones. **What We Are Looking For** * 5-8 years of experience in Software Engineering with strong backend development expertise. * Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and REST API development. * Proven experience designing and developing Microservices-based applications. * Experience building Event-Driven Architectures and distributed systems. * Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud platform; exposure to AWS or GCP is a plus. * Strong knowledge of Relational Databases (RDBMS) and NoSQL databases. * Experience building scalable, secure, and highly available backend systems. * Strong understanding of software design principles, object-oriented programming, and design patterns. * Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills. * Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities. * Experience working in Agile development environments. **Our Values** If you want to know the heart of a company, take a look at their values.
