In our **Secondary Fresh Innovation team in Aarhus**, we develop the next generation of food processing solutions—from idea and concept to prototype and industrial deployment. You will join a **highly skilled, multidisciplinary innovation team (~10–15 engineers)** working at the intersection of **software, robotics, and mechanical engineering**, driving innovation that directly impacts global food production. **🔍 About the Role** --------------------- As a **Senior Software Engineer**, you will play a key role in designing and developing **industrial-grade embedded software systems** for advanced food processing equipment. Working closely with mechanical, electrical, and systems engineers, you will contribute across the full product lifecycle—from concept development and architecture to implementation, testing, and long-term maintenance. This role is centered on **robust, high-performance, and reliable software** in complex industrial environments where quality and correctness are critical. **🧠 What You’ll Do** --------------------- **Software Development & System Ownership** * Design and implement embedded and industrial software primarily in modern C++ * Develop software close to hardware, machines, and devices, ensuring optimal performance and reliability * Take end-to-end ownership of features and components—from idea and architecture to deployment and maintenance **Architecture & Technical Leadership** * Contribute to system-level thinking and software architecture decisions * Drive technical direction and best practices within the team * Ensure solutions meet performance, stability, and long-lifecycle requirements **Quality & Engineering Excellence** * Act as a quality champion, ensuring software meets industrial-grade standards * Own coding standards, reviews, and technical improvements * Deliver robust, deterministic, and maintainable software built for long-living products **Collaboration & Agile Execution** * Work in a Scrum-based environment, contributing to planning, refinement, and retrospectives * Collaborate closely with software, hardware, and systems engineers * Communicate clearly about technical trade-offs, risks, and dependencies **Mentorship & Team Development** * Act as a senior role model within the team * Support and mentor colleagues through code reviews, sparring, and feedback * Contribute to continuous improvement of both product and team ways of working **🛠️ What You Bring** ---------------------- We encourage each of our 12,000+ employees to bring their unique self to work and aim to make everyone feel recognized, valued and free to explore their potential.
