Senior Technical Consultant - Java Plsql Wms

**Scope:** * The Senior Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting software enhancements and customizations for the Blue Yonder WMS product suite. He/She will also be responsible for ensuring quality releases of the Software Package based on CI/CD agile principles. The engineer will have to align with the Dev Lead/Scrum Lead on all Jira Tasks assigned within the estimates provided. This role requires strong technical expertise, coupled with functional knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS/Logistic), to deliver high-quality solutions that meet customer and business requirements. **Our current technical environment:** * Software: Core Java, PLSQL and Extjs **What you’ll do:** * Understand business objectives and analyze customer requirements to propose effective technical solutions. * Should be able to provide effort estimates and create Technical Approach document. * Develop, code, and unit test high-quality solutions in accordance with established standards and best practices. * Prepare and manage software releases, rollouts, and patches, including release planning, scheduling, and creation of release notes. * Provide technical inputs and high-level estimates (HLEs) to support pre-sales activities. * Collaborate with customers and project teams to review requirements, specifications, and proposed solutions. * Ensure all deliverables, including code and documentation, undergo peer reviews and follow up to ensure feedback is addressed. * Perform risk assessments, prepare quotes, and define high-level functional and technical approaches for new software changes based on alignment with Dev Lead. * Investigate, triage, and resolve defects and issues, providing code fixes and unit testing in compliance with defined SLAs. * Provide on-site or remote support for go-live activities, dry runs, testing, and other deployment-related needs and work during customer time zones. * Coordinate and deliver product or solution demonstrations to clients. **What we are looking for:** * Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or Engineering or other relevant disciplines (MCA, MSc in Computer Science etc.) * Total Experience – 5 yrs to 7.5 yrs * Experience with Java, Ext JS, Java Script, PL SQL * Prior experience with Blue Yonder / JDA / RedPrairie WMS or other WMS platforms is an added advantage. * Experience in test management and test execution. * Familiarity with Agile development methodologies. * Use of AI Tools like Cursor AI, Replit AI, GitHub copilot for Development, code re-factoring and unit testing * In-depth knowledge of software development best practices, build processes, IDEs, and database tools (e.g., SQL Developer, SQL Management Studio). * Strong experience with source code control systems such as GitHub, Jenkins. * Proficiency in working with Windows, Linux, and Unix operating systems, including command-line usage. * Working knowledge of JIRA for issue and project tracking. * Ability to evaluate competing solutions and make informed decisions to achieve optimal outcomes. * Willingness to take ownership of end-to-end project delivery and provide technical guidance to assigned engineers. * Confidence in making suggestions and recommendations for continuous improvement. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong professional relationships. * Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and ensure seamless information flow. * Proactively seeks assistance and feedback when appropriate to improve outcomes. * Demonstrates consistent behavior aligned with Blue Yonder standards, values, and best practices. **Our Values** If you want to know the heart of a company, take a look at their values.
