Senior UX Writer

About the Role We're looking for a Senior UX Writer to shape clear, empathetic, and effective in-app copy for our client, a leading mobile banking app. You'll help improve customer experience, meet user needs, and support business goals through thoughtful, data-informed writing. Responsibilities • Develop and implement UX copy for new features and user onboarding (Ukrainian and English) • Analyze existing functionality and propose improvements through microcopy optimization • Gather, analyze, and systematize copy requirements from stakeholders (Product Owners, business analysts, legal team) • Build and maintain a unified Tone of Voice and glossary/guidelines for the app • Prepare copy specifications for the development team • Monitor the market and track global UX writing best practices • Use analytics tools and conduct research to evaluate copy effectiveness • Collaborate cross-functionally with design, engineering, legal, and marketing teams Requirements • Higher education in philology, journalism, marketing, sociology, communications, or related field • 3+ years as a UX writer or product copywriter in a product IT company or banking sector • Strong understanding of mobile product development processes and UX/UI design • Experience testing hypotheses around product copy • Experience with analytics/metrics to evaluate interface copy • Knowledge of Agile methodologies • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills • Fluent, flawless Ukrainian (business style, grammar) • Advanced-level English Nice to Have • Banking/fintech experience • Basic understanding of APIs and integrations • Experience launching new products from scratch • Figma skills Key Competencies • Strategic thinking, results orientation, customer focus • Data analysis (A/B testing copy) • Commercial/product thinking • Effective communication with stakeholders We offer*: • Flexible working format - remote, office-based or flexible • A competitive salary and good compensation package • Personalized career growth • Professional development tools (mentorship program, tech talks and trainings, centers of excellence, and more) • Active tech communities with regular knowledge sharing • Education reimbursement • Memorable anniversary presents • Corporate events and team buildings • Other location-specific benefits *not applicable for freelancers
