Sort Supervisor **Location:** Bartlett, IL **Schedule:** **Monday – Friday, 1:00 PM to Completion** _(flexibility for overtime and business needs required)_ **On‑Site | Distribution Center | Warehouse Operations** About the Role -------------- The **Sort Supervisor** leads a team responsible for sorting, loading, and shipping products in a fast‑paced distribution center. This role helps ensure outbound orders are processed accurately, safely, and on time while supporting productivity, team performance, and customer service goals. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience in **warehouse operations, distribution, logistics, shipping, fulfillment, or team leadership**. What You Will Do ---------------- * Supervise daily sort and outbound warehouse operations * Direct team members on trailer loading priorities and daily assignments * Monitor outbound shipments, including LTL, UPS, and FedEx freight * Adjust staffing and labor throughout the shift based on business needs * Track productivity and coach employees on performance expectations * Train and develop team members to improve quality, safety, and efficiency * Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment * Communicate operational issues and performance results with leadership and business partners * Complete end-of-shift reports, productivity reviews, and operational documentation * Coordinate trailer scheduling and outbound transportation activities * Conduct safety observations and reinforce safe work practices * Support other warehouse departments, including bulk operations, as needed * Assist with building security and distribution center closing procedures when required * Help reduce overtime and improve operational efficiency through workforce planning Basic Requirements ------------------ * High School Diploma or GED * **3+ years of experience** in warehouse, distribution, logistics, shipping, or fulfillment operations * Demonstrated leadership experience, such as team lead, supervisor, or coaching responsibilities * Experience managing workflow in a fast-paced warehouse environment * Experience using warehouse systems, productivity reports, or operational metrics * Ability to work a **Monday–Friday, 1:00 PM to Completion** schedule * Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the shift Preferred Skills / Experience ----------------------------- * Experience supervising warehouse, shipping, sort, or transportation teams * Experience with parcel carriers such as UPS, FedEx, or LTL freight operations * Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or labor management tools * Experience training, coaching, and developing employees * Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills * Experience leading safety initiatives and warehouse compliance programs Work Environment ---------------- * On-site role in a high-volume distribution center * **Monday – Friday, 1:00 PM to Completion** * Overtime may be required based on business volume * Fast-paced environment focused on productivity, accuracy, and safety * Frequent standing, walking, lifting, and material handling * Daily interaction with transportation providers, warehouse associates, and operational leadership * Occasional responsibility for distribution center closing procedures Why Join Us? ------------ * Stable leadership opportunity with a leading healthcare company * Monday–Friday schedule with no regular weekend shifts * Opportunity to lead a high-performing team and drive operational results * Career growth opportunities within warehouse and distribution operations * Collaborative, safety-focused work environment We are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson as part of our Total Rewards.
