**Lead from the front at one of Hobart’s iconic hospitality venues.** The Telegraph Hotel is a vibrant, high-energy venue in the heart of Hobart, bringing together great food, drinks, entertainment and events under one roof. With a busy kitchen and a team that continues to grow, we’re looking for two experienced Sous Chefs to join our kitchen leadership team. If you’re a passionate chef who loves being on the tools, leading a team and delivering great food in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you. **The Opportunity** Working closely with the Head Chef, you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the kitchen and help drive a strong food offering across the venue. You’ll be responsible for: * Leading and supporting the kitchen team during busy services * Maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation and consistency * Supporting menu development, specials and new food ideas * Coaching and developing junior chefs * Assisting with ordering, stock control and food cost management * Ensuring high standards of food safety, cleanliness and compliance * Keeping the kitchen organised, efficient and service-ready * Supporting the Head Chef with the overall operation of the kitchen * Creating a positive, respectful and high-performing kitchen culture **What We're Looking For** You'll be an experienced chef who is ready to take the next step in your career and make an impact within a busy kitchen.
