The WTO seeks to attract and retain staff members offering the highest standards of competence, efficiency and integrity and to build an organization that is representative of the Members and People it serves. As an equal opportunity and inclusive employer, the WTO gives full regard to competence and welcome applications from qualified candidates irrespective of age, disability status, gender, nationality, race, religion, sexual orientation, social origin or any other characteristic. Applications from non-represented Members ([link](https://www.wto.org/english/thewto_e/vacan_e/unrepresented_wto_member_states_e.pdf)) are particularly encouraged for all positions.
The consultant will provide legal advice to developing countries and LDCs in respect of dispute settlement, pursuant to DSU 27.2. The advice will be measured by feedback from the beneficiaries in a special form provided by the Secretariat, which would allow the beneficiary to indicate whether the advice provided by the consultant was found to be satisfactory.
For this assignment, the consultant is recruited to deliver services in the context of DSU 27.2 for a maximum of 2 days at CHF 600 per working day to China, as requested pursuant to the procedure for requesting legal advice under DSU 27.2. Half the rate will be paid for services rendered for half a day or less.
