Staff Engineer - Cfd Site Thermal

**Job Description:** Staff Engineer, Modeling CFD Thermal Analysis Bloom Energy, a solid oxide fuel cell company, is looking for a **CFD Engineer** to join its world class team.  This individual should be a dynamic professional who is looking for a rewarding future in one of today’s most exciting technologies. **Location:** This position will be based in Bangalore, India **Role & Responsibilities:** * Participate as a member of the engineering in design and development of our product, for system and components- from concept phase to production * Thermal management of the whole system/Data center for conceptual ventilation design evaluation & recommend changes to the design based on the modeling * Perform flow and thermal analysis, including rack, system enclosures and installations or our Energy Servers * Interface with cross functional team and conduct accurate CFD models * Utilize model prediction to evaluate design options and provide recommendations for improvement * Participate in validations of models through representative tests and support in troubleshooting performance issues * Create reports and present modeling results on a regular basis **Education & Experience:** * **MS/ MTech in Mechanical Engineering with a background in applied CFD** * Strong understanding of the fundamentals of Fluid Mechanics & Heat Transfer * **4-6 years** of experience in an engineering company supporting product development * **Experience of at least 3-5 years** in engineering CFD software packages, such as or similar to **ANSYS Icepak /Cadence/CoolSim /FloTherm**. * **Ansys Icepak** modeling experience in Thermal analysis of the electronic system & ventilation is desirable * Experience in **Data Center thermal management** is a plus * Ability to develop & validate thermal models of High-density electronic assemblies, Battery pack, and Complete system * Ability to evaluate and **optimize air flow, heat dissipation, & temperature distribution to improve cooling performance** * Proficiency in **building CFD models of the whole system/site/data center for conceptual ventilation design evaluation** & recommend changes to the design based on the modeling * Familiarity with SolidWorks for mechanical design * Ability to learn new application areas and capable of modeling complex simulations and multi-disciplinary systems * Strong drive for results and continuous improvement * Excellent communication skills
