Job Description

There may or may not be actual vacancies filled from this flyer. *Position classified as a Secondary Law Enforcement Officer position and requires contact with inmates.
Major Duties:
- Serve as Chief, Mental Health Division, Directorate of Treatment Programs (DTP), Military Correctional Complex (MCC), consisting of the United States Disciplinary Barracks (USDB) and Midwest Joint Regional Correctional Facility (JRCF).
- Responsible for developing clinical assessments, treatment plans, providing direct treatment for inmates with complex mental health diagnoses, and evaluating potential internal and external risks associated with behavioral health issues.
- Provide direct psychological services for many of the most complex, challenging clinical cases, including individual and group counseling.
- Provide emergency and on-call services.
- Plan, direct, and assign work to subordinates to include a subordinate supervisor based on priorities, difficulty of assignments, and the capabilities of employees.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on correctional health care for all subordinate staff and is instrumental in the development of correctional health care professionals through mentoring and training.
- Direct oversight for health care related standards required for compliance with the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) Program and certification through the Department of Justice.
