Supervisory Ship Progressman

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY SHIP PROGRESSMAN (GENERAL) in the PRODUCTION RESOURCES DEPARTMENT of PEARL HARBOR NAVAL SHIPYARD & IMF within the DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY. Major Duties: - You will plan the use of subordinate worker's equipment, facilities, and materials on a week-to-week or month- to month basis. - You will establish deadlines, priorities, and work sequences; and plan work assignments based on general work schedules, methods, and policies set by higher level supervisors. - You will coordinate work with supporting or related work functions controlled by other supervisors. - You will determine the number and types of workers needed to accomplish specific projects. - You will determine how many assignments can be accomplished concurrently, which ones may be delayed; consider skills, personnel, materials, and equipment available and required to complete projects. - You will participate with superiors in the initial planning of current and future work schedules, budget requests, staffing needs, estimates, and recommendations as to scheduling projected work. - You will assign work to subordinate employees, provide indirect oversight of trade workers (military and/or civilian personnel). - You will plan and establish leave schedules and determine training needs/provisions for the accomplishment of training of employees.
