Job Summary ----------- To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a _**Supply Chain Solution Analyst**_ located in _**Flex PTP, Johor**_. **What a typical day looks like**: * Ensuring reports are created using a variety of tools and methods.   * Work on issues of diverse scope where investigation of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including comprehension of current business trends.   * Will be required to document procedures and create work instructions for other users.  * May coach or provide guidance to lower-level members of the team.  * Identifies opportunities for redesigning component substitution to provide cost reduction or quality improvement and manage commodities in identifying opportunities to source with Flex Strategic Suppliers. * Provide technical back-up for alternate sourcing recommendations, such as identifying relevant specification differences and board design changes required and providing the interface with the supplier’s design team. * Identify opportunities to help Site Materials migrate, implement or cross commodities from external suppliers to local sources. * Help maximize the purchasing power through component consolidation, where possible. * Provide support to Flex internal teams as needed to resolve supplier-related problems. * Be responsible for Supplier Management & Sourcing processes to strengthen upstream supply chain management. * Be accountable for purchasing cost optimization/reduction/cost up avoidance, terms & conditions optimization and commercial contract negotiation with suppliers. * Monitor the commodity market conditions, technology roadmaps, and identify supply/demand challenges/risks to internal teams and timely adjust sourcing strategy. **The experience we’re looking to add to our team:** * Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical component and Electromechanical or related field or equivalent experience. * Typically requires 4 years of related experience. * Demonstrates advanced functional and technical skills and basic process skills. * Demonstrates experience in material organization to drive continuity of supply, supplier development and improvement activities to improve the cost, delivery, response, service quality for our customers.  * Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. **What you’ll receive for the great work you provide:** * Life Insurance * Medical Benefits * Allowances and Bonuses * Paid Time-Off SS17 Job Category ------------ Global Procurement & Supply Chain Required Skills: Optional Skills: Flex is an Equal Opportunity Employer and employment selection decisions are based on merit, qualifications, and abilities.
