**Summary** **Job Description:** **Surgical Tech-OR** Full Time I First Shift   Operating Room I Lexington, KY **$15,000 Sign on Bonus Available for Qualified Individuals.** Baptist Health Lexington Surgical Services Department encompasses several key areas: the Pre-Op Department, 20 operating rooms with a business office staff responsible for scheduling, a Postoperative Care Unit, an Endoscopy Department with dedicated pre- and post-op areas, and a Sterile Processing Department. **Description Surgical Tech-OR:** * Functions as a member of the surgical team under the direction of the registered nurse. Performs scrub functions and other roles, which support the perioperative plan of care Demonstrates knowledge of operative procedures. * Demonstrates knowledge of and utilizes principles of aseptic technique including but not limited to gowning, gloving sterilization, and disinfection. * Actively participates in unit activities. * Ensures positive customer relations interactions. * On call weekends, weeknights, and holidays by rotation. **Requirements Surgical Tech-OR:** * Technical Diploma; Associate degree. (Surgical Tech Program) * Completion of a Surgical Technology program. * Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
