To find out more visit our website at **[www.msssecurity.com.au](http://www.msssecurity.com.au/).** **About the Role** We are seeking an experienced **Emergency Services Team Leader** to lead a site-based Emergency Response Team within a dynamic resource environment. In this hands-on leadership role, you will oversee emergency response readiness, lead incident response operations, and develop a high-performing Emergency Services team. You will work closely with site stakeholders to ensure compliance, operational readiness, and continuous improvement across all emergency response systems, equipment, and personnel. **Key Responsibilities** * Lead Emergency Response Team during incidents, providing command, control, and coordination of emergency and rescue operations * Act as emergency first response during all call outs and ensure safe, effective incident management * Coordinate site rescue functions, including First Response Team command and return-to-operations support * Deliver rescue operations including confined space, working at heights, and high-risk task standby support * Mentor and develop Emergency Services Officers to maintain a capable, risk-based response team * Oversee emergency response systems, ensuring readiness, continuous improvement, and compliance with site and legislative requirements                              * Support site HSE activities including risk assessments, inspections, hazard reviews, PTOs, and layered audits * Ensure compliance with HSE policies, PPE requirements, reporting obligations, and risk management processes * Collaborate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure legislative, contractual, and site compliance * Support emergency response planning for high-risk work activities and contribute to site integration and continuous improvement initiatives * Drive a strong safety culture and continuous improvement **About You** You are an experienced emergency response professional with strong leadership capability and a background in **mine rescue, ERT, or heavy industry emergency services**. **Essential Requirements** * Certificate III in Emergency Response and Rescue OR Certificate II in Public Safety (Firefighting and Emergency Operations) or higher * Experience in Emergency Services, ERT, or Mine Rescue within mining or heavy industry * Previous supervisory or leadership experience in emergency response operations * Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009) * Provide advanced first aid (HLTAID014) * Provide Advanced Resuscitation and oxygen therapy (HLTAID015) * Provide Pain Management (PUAEME005) * Collect specimens for drugs of abuse testing (HLTPAT005) * Confined Space Rescue and Working at Heights Rescue qualifications (completed within last 3yrs) * MR Licence or above * Strong knowledge of emergency response, rescue procedures, and incident management * Experience delivering training, drills, and emergency preparedness activities * Ability to pass pre-employment medical, Order 43 (or equivalent), drug & alcohol screening, and ongoing fitness for work requirements * Full Australian working rights **How to apply** ---------------- MSS Security is an Equal Opportunity Employer, valuing the unique backgrounds, experiences, and contributions of each person We encourage and celebrate diversity.
