****What you'll do****
* Lead technical work on building and scaling [Carbon Health](https://himalayas.app/companies/carbon-health)’s core platform and end-to-end product experiences across web and mobile.
* Drive architectural and implementation decisions for highly available, scalable, and reliable full-stack systems.
* Guide the team through system design, development, and delivery in a modern microservices and frontend application environment.
* Promote best practices in software engineering across the stack, including code quality, observability, testing, and automation.
* Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and other Engineering teams to deliver cohesive and intuitive user experiences.
* Foster a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and fast, reliable delivery.
* Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across frontend and backend domains.
****Qualifications****
* 5+ years of experience designing and building full-stack applications, including both backend and frontend systems.
* 2+ years of experience in a technical leadership or tech lead role.
* Strong experience with microservice architectures and cloud-based systems.
* Proficiency in frontend technologies such as JavaScript and TypeScript, with hands-on experience using React, React Native, and/or ExtJS.
* Experience building and consuming APIs using GraphQL and REST.
* Proficiency in at least one strongly typed backend language (preferably Kotlin, Scala, or Java).
* Strong understanding of Git and CI/CD pipelines, and the ability to work as an independent technical leader within a distributed team.
