CARIAD is working intensively on the software and technology platform for Premium Platform Electric (PPE). The first vehicles based on PPE will be the electric Porsche Macan and Audi Q6 e-tron. At the core of CARIAD is the development of the unified and scalable software and technology platform E³ 2.0 for all Group brands. E³ stands for ‘end to end electronics architecture’. The new software and technology platform is built from scratch and will be used first at the end of 2024 in Artemis, the lighthouse project of Audi. As of 2026, E³ 2.0 is due to be scaled by the Volkswagen brand with Trinity in the volume segment. About our Group CARIAD COE (Centre of Excellence) is setup in Bangalore, India working exclusively with CARIAD and associated VW groups with the focus on development of ‘VW.OS”. The areas of work involve development of platform components such as firmware, boot loaders, AUTOSAR, Linux/QNX BSP, Service oriented architecture-based middleware components. **Job Description:** \# Job Title: CI/CD Engineer / DevOps Engineer \## Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated CI/CD Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in build systems, automation, source code management, artifact repositories, and software quality/security scanning tools. This role requires close collaboration with development, QA, and release teams to streamline software delivery processes and improve engineering productivity. \## Key Responsibilities \* Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines for software build, test, and deployment processes. \* Develop automation solutions using Python and Shell scripting to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention. \* Create and manage workflow automation using GitHub Actions or Jenkins. \* Support and optimize build systems for C++, Rust, and other software projects. \* Configure and maintain build tools such as CMake and Conan for dependency management and build orchestration. \* Integrate artifact management solutions using JFrog Artifactory. \* Implement and manage code quality, security, and compliance scanning tools within CI/CD pipelines. \* Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot build failures, deployment issues, and pipeline bottlenecks. \* Continuously improve release processes, build reliability, and deployment automation. \* Establish CI/CD best practices, standards, and governance across engineering teams. \## Required Skills & Qualifications \### Programming & Automation \* Strong proficiency in Python for automation, tooling, and pipeline development. \* Experience with Shell scripting (Bash/Sh) for system automation and CI/CD integration. \### CI/CD Platforms \* Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions for workflow automation. \* Experience with Jenkins for pipeline development and build orchestration. \* Strong understanding of CI/CD concepts, pipeline design, and release management. \### Build Systems \* Experience working with C++ build environments. \* Hands-on experience with CMake and Conan. \* Exposure to Rust build ecosystem and package management. \* Ability to understand, debug, and optimize complex build systems. \### Artifact & Package Management \* Experience with JFrog Artifactory or similar artifact repository solutions. \* Knowledge of package management and artifact lifecycle management. \### Code Quality & Security Scanning Experience with one or more of the following tools: \* Coverity \* SonarQube \* Black Duck \* Trivy Responsibilities include: \* Static code analysis \* Open-source vulnerability scanning \* Container image scanning \* Software composition analysis (SCA) \* Security and compliance enforcement within CI/CD pipelines \### Version Control \* Strong knowledge of Git and GitHub. \* Understanding of branching strategies, pull request workflows, and release management. \## Preferred Qualifications \* Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments. \* Familiarity with Linux administration and troubleshooting. \* Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker. \* Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus. \## Desired Competencies \* Strong problem-solving and debugging skills. \* Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. \* Ability to work independently and drive automation initiatives. \* Focus on reliability, scalability, and engineering excellence. \* Passion for DevOps culture and continuous improvement. **Working with Embitel** • Freedom to challenge norms, make mistakes, learn and grow • There is no ‘I’ in word ‘Team’ and no hierarchy at Embitel • Employees of Embitel are partners of our excellence and growth.
