**We are hiring (1) Part-time, Temporary Position(s)**
* This **temporary** position will **end October 31, 2026,** the scheduled hours for this position will be **20 hours per week**.
* **Part-time employees are paid hourly**; the monthly salary will be prorated (the salary range listed in the job announcement applies to full-time positions).
* **Part-time employees are eligible for benefits and holiday pay on a prorated basis**, according to their work schedule.

**Summary of Duties**
As a **Temporary Lodging Assistant**, you will:
* Stay with and supervise children throughout the day or night in temporary lodging and transport them to different destinations as needed.
* Focus on in-home safety planning and prevention, when not in temporary lodging, by providing detailed documentation, support, engagement, and promptly reporting any concerns.
* Review and implement supervisory and safety plans, while also supporting their behavior and emotional needs. Maintain care for children related to hygiene, basic needs, school attendance, appointments, and transportation.
* Treat people with compassion and dignity, ensuring that children and family members feel respected and valued.
**Minimum Qualifications**
A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record are required for this position.
* One year of experience working in a human services or behavioral health setting; OR
* An associate degree in any field; OR
* An equivalent combination of education and experience.
**Essential Attributes**
We are looking for candidates with:
* Previous experience working with children and youth in a human services capacity.
* Builds rapport with children and families through warm, respectful, and strength-based interactions.
* Experience communicating clearly and respectfully with children, families, caregivers, and professionals across varied cultural and community contexts.
**Working Conditions**
* Work will take place in offices, participants’ homes, and various community locations.
* Frequent travel is required for transporting children or families and completing case‑related activities.
* This is a **part-time position**; the work schedule will be:
* **Monday – Friday 5 PM – 8 AM,** **OR**
* **20 hours over the weekend (Saturday – Sunday)**, Weekend hours may be flexible and will be **determined before hire**.
* You may interact with individuals experiencing trauma or emotional distress, and there may be times when individuals have difficulty managing their emotional responses.
* You may encounter situations requiring quick decision‑making to ensure your safety or the safety of others.
* Activities may include traversing stairs, move across uneven terrain, and assisting children (up to 50 pounds) in and out of car seats.
