Looking for a fulfilling overnight role? Join University Health Behavioral Health Ellington Place as a **Therapeutic Support Specialist/****Mental Health Technician** on our **overnight shift** team! This full-time position is **Monday–Friday, 11 PM–7:30 AM** and includes additional shift differentials.
**What You'll Do:**
As a **Therapeutic Support Specialist** on our **overnight shift** team, you will help ensure the smooth operation of our residential care facility during the night. While your focus will primarily be on **administrative tasks and facility preparation**, you’ll also provide essential support for residents. Your responsibilities will include:
* **Medication Administration:** Administer morning medications to residents (training provided) and ensure proper documentation for continuity of care.
* **Client Wellness Checks:** Conduct regular rounds to monitor residents while they sleep, ensuring their safety and well-being.
* **Administrative Duties:** Complete nightly documentation, including billing, shift reports, and updates to resident records, to prepare for the daytime staff.
* **Facility Upkeep:** Perform cleaning, safety checks on equipment, and maintain a tidy, organized environment.
* **Prepare for Day Staff:** Coordinate handoffs with the daytime team, ensuring all information and preparations are in place for a seamless transition.

**Qualifications**
We are looking for passionate, dedicated individuals who meet the following **minimum qualifications** and can contribute to a supportive environment for our residents:
_Minimum Requirements:_
* **Education:** High school diploma or equivalent (_no college degree required_).
* **Heartsavers CPR Certification:** Must obtain Heartsavers CPR certification within 90 days of hire and maintain it for continued employment.
* **Level 1 Medication Aide (LIMA) Licensure:** Complete the licensure course and exam within the first 90 days of employment. Certification must remain current per the Missouri Department of Health & Senior Services (DHSS).
* **Driver’s License:** Obtain a valid Class E Missouri or Kansas driver’s license. Must be comfortable and competent operating a 15-passenger van within 3 months of employment and obey all traffic laws while on duty.
* **Family Care Registry Clearance:** Successfully clear the Family Care Registry background check.
* **Training:** Complete all required training as outlined during orientation and by leadership within established timelines for continued employment.
_Preferred Qualifications:_
* **Lived Experience:** Personal lived experience with recovery from mental health or substance use disorders is valued in our setting.
* **Patient Care Experience:** Preference for candidates with documented experience assisting patients with activities of daily living (e.g. home health or residential experience).
* **Mental Health Experience:** Prior experience in a mental health care setting is highly valued.
