Tool and Die Maker

**JOB DESCRIPTION** Job Summary  Under the direction of a Tooling Supervisor, the Tool and Die Maker is responsible for repairing dies and making adjustments as needed to run dies in accordance with the customers’ standards.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities  * Tool and Die Maker must be able to troubleshoot conditions in a production setting  * Perform die set operations  * Perform preventative maintenance on metal stamping dies  * Perform quality checks  * Perform other duties as required  * Tool and Die Maker must complete all required and applicable training required by Adient and its customers.  Qualifications  **Required:**  * High School diploma or equivalent (GED)  * Minimum 1-2 years of experience working in a sheet metal stamping facility or similar experience  * Minimum 1-2 years of experience with large transfer and progressive dies  * Able to lift 40 lbs. frequently depending upon rework  * Standing 8 or more hours, walking to assist in seat build, rework, etc. ​ * Be able to work 2nd shift ​ **Preferred:**  * Journeyman Tool and Die Card from the Department of Labor  **Rate of Pay**: $37.54 - $39.14 per hour **PRIMARY LOCATION** Battle Creek Seating Component
