Help get better trained war fighters to the front line faster This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced professional to make a lasting impact by mentoring the next generation of Royal Navy engineers—leveraging your career expertise without the need for prior teaching experience! **Job title:** Training Delivery Instructor (Electronic Controls & Diagnostic Trainer) **Job Description:** 🕒 Full-time role, 37.5 hours a week (Monday – Friday) 📍 HMS Sultan 🔐 Due to the nature of this role, you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance at SC level. **What you’ll be doing** * Delivering training in Marine Control Systems and Diagnostics * Supporting departmental tasks within your skill set as required * Maintaining and updating training materials to ensure accuracy and relevance. * Assessing student coursework and provide constructive feedback on performance. * Ensuring trainee welfare and progression throughout the training delivery. * Following all security, health, safety, and environmental procedures, while maintaining your own professional development records. **What we’re looking for** **Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications** * Minimum Level 3 Technical Certificate in Electrical or Electronic Engineering * Be proficient in the use of IT (hardware/software) within the workplace * Proven experience in Electrical and Electronic Engineering principles. **Desirable Skills/Experience/Qualifications** * Level 3 Teaching Qualification / DCTS Defence Train The Trainer Course or equivalent (successful completion) * Previous instructional experience in a military or civilian engineering environment **About Selborne** Selborne is a bold, £1 billion, 12-year transformation of Royal Navy training, led by Capita and a powerhouse consortium known as Team Fisher — including Raytheon UK, Fujitsu, and the University of Lincoln.
