Help get better trained personnel to the front line faster – This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced engineering professional to make a lasting impact by mentoring the next generation of Royal Navy engineers—leveraging your career expertise without the need for prior teaching experience! **Job title:** Training Delivery Instructor - Mechanical Engineering **Job Description:** **What you’ll be doing** * Delivering training to groups of trainees in Mechanical Engineering – both practical and theory based. * Build and maintain strong working relationships with trainees and colleagues. * Support course documentation updates and provide feedback on student assessments. * Apply best practices to improve training quality and effectiveness. * Monitor learner progress and ensure training meets performance targets and standards. * Collaborate with Learning & Development to personalise training and maintain professional development **What we’re looking for** **Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications** * Minimum Level 3 Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering. * Proficient in the use of IT (hardware/software) within the workplace. * Competent Mechanical hand skills. **Desirable Skills/Experience/Qualifications** * Previous experience working in Marine Engineering * Level 4 Teaching Qualification / DTC Defence Trainer Course or equivalent. * Previous training experience in an engineering environment **About Selborne** Selborne is a bold, £1 billion, 12-year transformation of Royal Navy training, led by Capita and a powerhouse consortium known as Team Fisher — including Raytheon UK, Fujitsu, and the University of Lincoln.
