🔧 Training Delivery Instructor – Mechanical Engineering 🕒 Full-time role, 37.5 hours a week on a term time only basis 📍 HMS Sultan, Portsmouth 🔐 Due to the nature of this role, you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance at SC level. Help get better trained personnel to the front line faster – Your role will be to deliver training across Marine Engineering Mechanical Training group focussing on the diagnosis, repair, operation and maintenance of a ship’s auxiliary equipment and systems. **Job title:** Training Delivery Instructor - Mechanical Engineering **Job Description:** **What you’ll be doing** * Deliver Mechanical Marine Engineering training on ship auxiliary systems in line with the Sultan Training Plan * Build strong relationships with customers and colleagues within the Marine Engineering Electrical training area. * Maintain and update training materials, assess coursework, and provide constructive feedback to learners. * Apply best practice to drive quality improvements across Royal Navy training programmes. * Ensure learner safety, progression, and achievement of KPIs and SLAs during all training phases, including simulated environments. * Collaborate with Learning & Development teams to personalise learning journeys and maintain your CPD portfolio. **What we’re looking for** **Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications** * Minimum Level 3 Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering. * Proficient in the use of IT (hardware/software) within the workplace. * Competent Mechanical hand skills. **Desirable Skills/Experience/Qualifications** * Any experience in Electrical Engineering would be highly beneficial **About Selborne** Selborne is a bold, £1 billion, 12-year transformation of Royal Navy training, led by Capita and a powerhouse consortium known as Team Fisher — including Raytheon UK, Fujitsu, and the University of Lincoln.
