Please [click here](https://www.shrinerschildrens.org/en/locations?listPage=1) to learn more about our locations. **Job Description** **Job Summary** The Patient Care Assistant II (PCA II) provides direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, assisting with activities of daily living, maintaining a safe patient environment, and supporting the overall inpatient care team within Shriners Hospitals for Children. **Key Responsibilities** * The PCA II rooms patients, obtains vital signs for pediatric patients infant to 21 years with orthopedic, reconstructive plastic and rehabilitation conditions dependent on location. * The PCA II gathers and documents patient’s clinical information as provided by patient/parent/legal guardian. * Performs procedures in accordance with state guidelines and regulations. * The Patient Care Assistant II is also the initial contact for all patients and families visiting the Outpatient Department. **Job Requirements** * High School graduate or equivalent * Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 6 months **Preferred Qualifications** * Nursing Assistant * 1 year pediatric care The pay range for this position is $19.97 - $29.95. Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
