Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. **What You'll Be Doing** * Maintain strong communications with all other plant employees to ensure efficient and safe workflow. * Tasks may include grounds upkeep, shoveling, organization of parts * Assist in maintenance work and area cleanup, this is honestly the bulk of the work. * Perform a variety of service, inspection, or labor operations throughout the quarry or plants. * Occasional operation of small mobile equipment. * Will perform other duties as may be requested. **What Are We Looking For** * High school diploma or GED required * 2 years prior experience in the aggregate industry preferred; experience in aggregate plant operation and maintenance a plus. * Highly dependable, ability to work in fast paced environment * Prior experience operating mobile equipment (man reach, telehandler, skid steer, etc.) and machinery a plus. * Commitment to safety and quality standards. **Conditions of Employment** * Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. * Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing. **Work Environment** * Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level. **What We Offer** * $22.54 per hour + night shift differential * Benefits through the Union for Medical, Dental, Vision and Pension. * Union paid vacation, sick leave and holidays.
