Vice President Assistant Vice President - Aht – Post-Trade Systems – IT

You will manage a team of developers, drive technical excellence, and deliver secure, resilient and scalable solutions across the full software development lifecycle, including production support. **Job Duties:** **Job Responsibilities:** * Lead solution architecture and system design for high-availability, high-throughput post-trade platforms and services. * Take full ownership and accountability for delivery across the SDLC (requirements, design, development, testing, and implementation); manage delivery across complex stakeholder groups. * Drive parallel delivery across multiple workstreams by planning, prioritising, and coordinating resources across internal teams and vendors where applicable. * Provide engineering leadership on modern backend practices (microservices, cloud/container, messaging/streaming) and enforce coding, security, and quality standards. * Collaborate with cross-functional technology and business teams to translate requirements into robust technical designs and implementation approaches. * Manage production support of mission-critical system, lead production incident and problem management (investigation, resolution, root cause analysis and prevention) and drive continuous improvement for stability and performance. **Job Requirements:** * Bachelor’s degree (or above) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline. * Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in system design and development * Minimum 5 years in a management and/or technical leadership capacity, with proven experience leading developers and owning delivery outcomes. * Strong problem-solving skills, with an analytical mindset and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues. * Strong track record delivering mission-critical systems with complex stakeholder environments; excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. * Strong hands-on expertise in Java engineering, including API design, concurrency, performance tuning, and troubleshooting production issues. * Strong experience with microservice architecture, containers/Kubernetes, messaging/streaming (e.g. Kafka, ActiveMQ), Linux and database; solid understanding of cloud-native patterns is preferred. * Familiarity with modern DevOps/engineering toolchains (e.g., source control, CI/CD, unit/integration testing, static analysis, artifact management) and quality practices. * Prior experience in vendor management and application security (e.g. OAuth2, API security, etc.) would be an advantage. * Candidates with less experience may be considered for the position of Assistant Vice President. _HKEX is committed as an Equal Opportunity Employer.
