Village Support Officer

As a Village Support Officer, you’ll play an important part in supporting the daily operations of our village through cleaning, maintenance support, and assisting with community functions.   **Your Role as Village Support Officer** * This is a hands-on role focused primarily on cleaning duties while also supporting the village team with general maintenance, gardening, and function set-ups. * Maintain high standards of cleanliness across the village and common areas * Provide support with general onsite maintenance and gardening tasks * Assist with setting up and packing down activity rooms and village functions * Support waste management and ensure work areas are maintained safely and efficiently * Use cleaning equipment, chemicals, and PPE safely in line with workplace procedures * Report maintenance issues, hazards, and incidents as required * Work collaboratively with the village support team to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for residents **What We’re Looking For** * Experience in cleaning, maintenance support, gardening, or similar hands-on roles * Ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision * Strong customer service and communication skills * A positive attitude and willingness to assist across different tasks as needed * Understanding of workplace health and safety practices * Current Driver’s Licence and willingness to drive in the course of work **Essential Requirements** * Proof of COVID-19 vaccination status (or as required by legislation and WMQ policy) * Relevant probity checks required by legislation and WMQ policy
