VP AWS T&c AWS Applied AI Solutions

Amazon Web Services is seeking a product-minded, technically fluent VP to own and transform AWS Training & Certification (T&C) — a global program that empowers millions of learners, cloud professionals, and enterprises to build and validate cloud skills at scale. Reporting to the SVP of AWS Applied AI Solutions, this leader will grow and develop a global organization of 1,000+ and define the future of cloud learning and certification in an era of rapid AI transformation. The ideal candidate is a product-minded, technically fluent leader who has built and shipped software products for end users and businesses. They will understand how to drive adoption and engagement across multiple channels and formats (digital, in person, video, gaming and simulations, etc), bring a clear, bold vision for how generative AI will reshape the way training content is created, delivered, and consumed. They are equally strong as a product innovator, a business operator, and a people leader — capable of setting organizational clarity for a large, globally distributed team while driving a product-led business that ultimately accelerates adoption and use of AWS services. Key job responsibilities- Define and drive the long-term product vision and strategy for AWS Training & Certification, building products that drive breadth and depth of AWS customer adoption - Develop a bold vision for how people will learn in the future. Guide technical decisions and harness generative AI to build better products and operate more effectively - Lead the integration of AI into the creation and delivery of training content, transforming how the organization builds and ships learning experiences - Grow, develop, and inspire a high-performing global organization of 1,000+ - Architect training and certification as a core part of the AWS marketing flywheel, connecting every customer engagement to a clear path for skill acquisition and AWS adoption - Understand how enterprises identify skills gaps, integrate training and certification into improving cloud operations, and drive upskilling at scale - Build and scale the AWS training partner ecosystem by enabling learning partners and GSIs to deepen certified expertise and drive AWS consumption - Establish and track key business metrics, using data-driven insights to optimize product performance and learner outcomes Basic Qualifications: - 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in product management, with demonstrated success building and shipping software products for end users and/or businesses - 7+ years experience leading large, cross-functional organizations at the executive level - Deep understanding of how enterprises think about learning, skill development, and workforce upskilling — including how training and certification integrate into organizational support and adoption strategies - Experience driving adoption and engagement in training, learning, or technology products across multiple channels (B2B and/or B2C) - Demonstrated ability to define and execute multi-year product strategies in a fast-moving, competitive market - Experience leading organizations through AI/ML or generative AI-driven product transformation Preferred Qualifications: - Relevant domain experience in education, training, and certification at scale - Experience in cloud computing, enterprise technology, or the education technology sector - Background in audience engagement, user experience, or the psychology of skill development — including from adjacent industries such as gaming, entertainment, or marketing technology - Experience building and scaling partner ecosystems, including learning partners or global system integrators - Familiarity with AWS products, services, and the cloud ecosystem - Track record of building and scaling social impact or digital literacy programs Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Los Angeles County applicants: Job duties for this position include: work safely and cooperatively with other employees, supervisors, and staff; adhere to standards of excellence despite stressful conditions; communicate effectively and respectfully with employees, supervisors, and staff to ensure exceptional customer service; and follow all federal, state, and local laws and Company policies.
