**Compensation**
The base hourly rate for this position is $36.57.
**Position Title: Warehouse Inventory and Logistics Lead**
**Position Overview**
The Warehouse Inventory and Logistics Lead is responsible for leading and executing warehouse and logistics operations in alignment with JM core values while delivering a high-quality customer experience. This role provides end-to-end ownership of fleet coordination, warehouse scheduling, and operational performance to ensure the safe, efficient, and accurate movement of materials from production through final delivery.
This position leads the execution and performance of inbound and outbound logistics, fleet operations, inventory control, and warehouse processes, working cross-functionally with production, customer service, transportation, and quality teams to ensure seamless and reliable operations.
As a lead, this role directs daily activities, sets priorities, and drives accountability for fleet drivers and logistics operations, while partnering closely with the PD Manager to monitor performance, improve efficiency, and achieve operational targets.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Logistics & Fleet Leadership**
* Lead and direct daily fleet operations, including load assignment, scheduling, and execution across drivers and transportation assets
* Set priorities and ensure accountability for on-time deliveries, load accuracy, and driver performance
* Monitor transportation activity and enforce compliance with driver logs, mileage tracking, and regulatory requirements
* Ensure drivers depart with complete, accurate, and compliant documentation
* Proactively communicate delivery status, risks, and adjustments with customer service and delivery locations
* Identify and drive improvements in fleet utilization, routing efficiency, and service performance
**Warehouse & Scheduling Operations Leadership**
* Oversee and coordinate order entry, product mix, and shipping schedules using SAP/ERP systems
* Ensure execution of 100% Perfect Order Delivery (POD) through accurate loading, staging, and shipment verification
* Direct daily warehouse logistics activities, including preloading, load verification, and trailer readiness
* Ensure alignment between warehouse operations and production schedules, maintaining material flow continuity
* Own resolution of shipping discrepancies and drive corrective actions with warehouse leadership
**Inventory & Production Coordination**
* Lead inventory control processes, including cycle counts, reconciliation, and monthly physical inventories
* Ensure accurate recording of production output, transfers, and system transactions
* Partner with QC and production to actively manage product holds, releases, and scrap decisions
* Ensure materials, packaging, and finished goods availability aligns with production and shipment requirements
**Systems, Reporting & Operational Control**
* Maintain and ensure accuracy of all SAP and warehouse management system data related to loads, inventory, and deliveries
* Own and analyze daily performance metrics, including fleet activity, shipping performance, and inventory accuracy
* Support billing accuracy and ensure compliance with all shipping and regulatory documentation requirements
* Drive improved visibility through reporting and data accuracy
**Operational Leadership & Communication**
* Direct and coordinate daily activities of fleet drivers and logistics operations
* Serve as a key escalation point for operational issues and decision-making
* Act as backup to supervisors, warehouse coordinators, and Production Scheduler, as needed
* Provide critical input to daily and short-term production scheduling decisions
* Lead daily communication and safety meetings, reinforcing accountability and engagement
* Champion a safety-first culture, ensuring adherence to all safety and HAZMAT requirements
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives across logistics, inventory, and warehouse processes
* Support special projects and operational initiatives as assigned
**Qualifications & Requirements**
* High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred
* 3–5+ years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or transportation operations (lead or advanced coordinator experience preferred)
* Strong working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP/WMS systems
* Demonstrated experience in coordinating fleet operations, inventory control, and warehouse execution
* HAZMAT knowledge/certification preferred
* Proven ability to lead processes, prioritize work, and drive results in a fast-paced environment
* Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills
* Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
**Physical & Work Environment**
* Ability to work in a manufacturing/warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
* Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive physical tasks as needed.
* May require extended shifts and occasional on-call support.
