Water Truck Operator

Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. **What You'll Be Doing** * Operate water truck to control dust on haul roads and work areas * Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance of vehicle * Safely navigate plant site and communicate with team members * Monitor water levels and refill as needed throughout the shift * Follow all safety protocols and traffic guidelines on site **What Are We Looking For** * Ability to safely operate large vehicles in active work zones * Strong awareness of surroundings and commitment to safety * Effective communication and teamwork skills * Willingness to follow instructions and adapt to changing site needs * Basic understanding of vehicle operation and maintenance **Conditions of Employment** * Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check * Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing **Work Environment** * Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level **What We Offer** * $20.00 to $25.00 per hour * Benefits through the Union for Medical, Dental, Vision and Pension * Union paid vacation, sick leave and holidays Equal Opportunity Employer - Minority / Female / Veteran / Disabled
