Welder Compactor Technician

**E.L. Harvey & Sons** is looking for a **Welder/******Co**mpactor Technician** to join our team in **New Bedford, MA**. **Schedule:** Monday-Friday 7:00am to 3:30 **Rate:** $28.00 to $30.00 per hour (Dependent on Experience) **As a Welder/******Co**mpactor Technician with us the minimum responsibilities are:** * Perform welding and electrical repair of trash containers and compactors. * Perform sanding and painting of trash containers. * Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate and OSHA standards. * Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times. * Ability to effectively communicate needed repairs or tasks. **What we need from you:** * **Prior experience with electrical and hydraulic systems is highly preferred.** * Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds. * Work environment may be indoors in a shop, or outdoors to repair containers in the yard. Usually well-lighted and ventilated. Sometimes necessary to work in awkward or tight positions and to handle greasy or dirty tools.
