About the Role -------------- We are looking for an experienced **Welder/Fabricator** to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will perform stainless-steel fabrication and MIG/TIG welding on light-gauge stainless-steel components. You’ll work from mechanical drawings, weld symbols, work instructions, and shop routings to produce high-quality parts that meet required specifications and tolerances. This is a hands-on position for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, pays attention to detail, and works well in a team environment. What You'll Do -------------- * Perform **MIG and TIG welding** on thin-gauge stainless steel. * Fabricate and assemble stainless-steel components according to engineering drawings and work instructions. * Interpret **mechanical blueprints, weld symbols, and shop routings**. * Produce sanitary welds that meet **USDA requirements**. * Set up and operate conventional fabrication and finishing equipment. * Grind, blend, blast, and polish welds using hand and power tools. * Operate overhead cranes and forklifts to safely move materials. * Support various welding functions and work areas based on production needs. * Meet established quality, productivity, and workmanship standards. * Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. * Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and operating standards. * Participate in cross-training and support other areas of the department as needed. * Contribute to continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing initiatives. * Perform other duties as assigned. What We're Looking For ---------------------- * High school diploma or GED **or at least 2 years of experience in a similar welding/fabrication role**. * Experience with **MIG and TIG welding**, preferably on thin-gauge stainless steel. * Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and weld symbols. * Experience producing sanitary welds is strongly preferred. * Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. * Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions. * Ability to work effectively as part of a team. * Ability to safely use hand tools and fabrication equipment. * Ability to work within established production standards. **Preferred:** Associate degree or technical training in Welding Technology.
