Wellways is seeking an experienced Work Health and Safety (WHS) Project Lead to join our team on a fixed-term basis. Reporting to the National Manager, Work Health and Safety, you will lead and coordinate key WHS improvement projects aligned with the 2026–2027 WHS Strategic Plan. Working collaboratively with leaders, operational teams and corporate functions, you will support WHS compliance, strengthen governance and contribute to the continuous improvement of Wellways' Work Health and Safety Management System (WHSMS). **You will play an important role by:** * Leading and coordinating organisation-wide WHS projects and improvement initiatives. * Monitoring project milestones, risks, deliverables and reporting progress. * Supporting audits, reviews and workplace inspections. * Working with stakeholders to implement WHS systems, processes and compliance initiatives. * Contributing to WHS policies, procedures, governance and reporting tools. * Supporting WHS communication, awareness, training and change initiatives. **What you'll bring** You are an experienced WHS professional with strong project management, stakeholder engagement and change implementation skills. You will have: * Experience delivering WHS projects and improvement initiatives. * Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, compliance and contemporary WHS practices. * Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. * Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities. * The ability to drive outcomes and support the successful implementation of WHS improvements. * Advanced analytical, problem solving, administrative, communication and reporting skills You will also need: * Qualification in WHS, Risk Management or related discipline * Broad generalist WHS knowledge and demonstrated experience leading or coordinating organisational improvement projects. * Right to Work within Australia * 100 Points ID * Current Working with Children Check and NDIS Workers Screening Check * National Police Records Check * NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate – free online course **About Us** At Wellways, we work alongside people, families and communities to create an inclusive society where everyone can imagine and achieve their best life.
