Workday Financials Data Principal Consultant

Cognizant Workday Practice is seeking a Principal Data Consultant with experience in Workday Financials. As a Principal Data Consultant, you will guide clients through the transformation, implementation, and operation phases of a Workday Financials implementation, with a focus on data migration, validation, and optimisation. This role is best suited for self-starters eager to work across a variety of clients and engage in all phases of Workday system implementations. You will join a collaborative, high-performing team within a dynamic and fast-paced transformation consulting practice. Responsibilities: ----------------- * Become a Workday Financials and Data expert, with knowledge of design, configuration, testing, and implementation. * Partner closely with project teams and clients to deliver high-quality outcomes across all project phases. * Utilize Workday tools such as iLoad, EIB, Object Transporter, Advanced Load, and Migration Recipe to support tenant-to-tenant migrations. * Design and develop data tracking, reconciliation, and monitoring tools to support finance data integrity and reporting. * Map and convert data sources into data conversion templates, ensuring alignment with Workday Financials structures. * Guide clients through data extraction, cleansing, transformation, and loading, ensuring accuracy and auditability of financial data. * Support data migration activities, including loading financial data, moving configurations, and aligning with business processes and security models. * Develop ETL processes and data transformation logic to normalise and improve client finance data. * Validate and reconcile financial data loaded into Workday, ensuring consistency with source systems. * Engage regularly with clients throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring a smooth transition from legacy systems to Workday Financials. * Manage multiple tasks with limited direction while keeping stakeholders informed of progress, risks, and issues. * Participate in training and internal knowledge-sharing initiatives to continuously develop expertise.
