At H&P, our people are our strength. #LI-Onsite **At a Glance:** The Yard Hand is primarily responsible for the routine maintenance and minor repairs in district yard and buildings. **What you will do:** * Handle tasks at the direction of supervisors and managers * Maintain a weekly/monthly maintenance schedule for district buildings and yard * Perform minor repairs within district buildings * Report issues to supervisor * Assist with searching for new suppliers as needed * Perform routine maintenance on district security systems (cameras, gates, turnstiles, door controls, system controllers, solar panels) * Provide support to light duty vehicle fleet coordinator * Assist other departments as needed * Partner with co-workers to work rotating On-Call shifts to handle phone calls and yard needs after-hours, weekends and holidays * Create field transfers during On-Call shifts * Utilize forklift to load/un-load trailers in yard * Utilize pole truck to assist stacked yard department * Run errands as needed **What you need:** * Valid U.S. Driver’s License and a good Driver’s License record * Ability to pass drug and alcohol tests * Ability to perform work in various conditions * Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage time effectively * Ability to work effectively with in-house customers, co-workers, and suppliers * Good written and oral communication skills **Not a must, but a plus:** * Basic knowledge of building maintenance * Forklift & manlift certified * Basic skills with Pole Truck * Basic knowledge & skills with Excel, Word, Outlook Thank you for your interest in joining our team!
